How IVF with donor sperm works
IVF brings eggs and sperm together in the laboratory, where fertilisation takes place. The resulting embryo is then transferred to the womb. Each stage is planned around you and guided by your specialist.
- Ovarian stimulation, with gentle medication and monitoring by scan and blood tests
- A short egg collection procedure under sedation
- Fertilisation in the lab, conventionally or with ICSI (a single sperm injected directly into the egg) where recommended
- Embryo transfer, with suitable additional embryos frozen where possible

IVF with Donor Sperm
From £2,800 all‑inclusive
Eggs are collected and fertilised with donor sperm in the lab before an embryo is transferred.
- Eligibility criteria: under 38, BMI under 32, and AMH above 12 pmol/L.
- Donor sperm £1,500 extra and is not included in the £2,800 price.
- Generally offers a higher chance of success per cycle
- Allows embryos to be assessed before transfer, and any spare embryos frozen
- Often recommended where IUI is unlikely to be effective

How much does IVF cost at Ezee Fertility?
IVF starts from £2,800* for eligible patients. After your consultation you’ll receive an itemised written quote showing exactly what is and isn’t included.
Is IVF painful?
Most patients manage the injections and scans comfortably. Egg collection is done under sedation, so you shouldn’t feel it, though some cramping afterwards is common.
How long does one IVF cycle take?
A typical cycle takes around 3 to 4 weeks from the start of stimulation to the pregnancy test, though your timeline may vary.
What are the chances of success?
Success depends mainly on age and individual circumstances. We’ll give you honest, personalised figures at consultation.
Do I need more than one cycle?
Many patients do. We’ll discuss a realistic plan with you, including what happens with any spare embryos.
What is ICSI?
ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg. It’s often recommended where sperm quality is reduced. Your specialist will advise whether it’s needed.
Are there risks?
IVF is safe for most people, but there are risks, including ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and multiple pregnancy. We monitor you closely and explain how we reduce these risks.
